My first-born. I feel so bad it seems that Matt gets all the blog attention. But like I said in a previous post that Alec is never one to be ignored. He will be sure of that. This spirited nine-year-old always keeps me on my toes! He has personality traits that are so similar to my dad! And those who know my dad can take that for what it is.
When Alec is passionate about something, he expects you to be passionate as well and if you’re not, well then there is something terribly wrong with you, or so he thinks . Alec is a justice seeker. I always tell him, “you would make a great lawyer someday”. He doesn’t want to be a lawyer though because he has to answer to a judge. He said this to me one day:
Alec: I want to rule the Earth.
Me: You know you can’t do that. That is God’s job.
Alec: Ok. I want to be the guy under Him. I will answer to God and everyone else can answer to me.
Me: That’s called being a dictator and there are some very bad dictators
Alec: I will be a nice dictator. I will make sure everybody is happy unless they do something bad.
This kid’s thought process is amazing to me. Alec does have a sweet sensative side where he is so eager to please. I love watching him grow. We have become great buddies. He definitely has his struggles at times but he has made so many strides and has taught me so much! I love you, ALEC!!!!
What beautiful blue eyes! It sounds like he’s not afraid to dream big 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
